Rooftop Film Club arrives in NYC: An innovative cinema experience

Last Thursday, I was invited to an exclusive press preview for Rooftop Film Club, an outdoor cinema experience, on the terrace at YOTEL New York. Rooftop Film Club started in London in 2011 and is making its debut in New York this year. It’s a unique cinema experience that features noise-canceling headphones, comfortable chairs, delicious food and cocktails, and a wide cinema screen, all while showcasing spectacular city views outside. Screened films will include classics such as The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and some recent films such as Birdman. Top Gun was the surprise film that evening, and I (along with the other media guests) was thrilled! I really enjoyed listening to the movie sounds through the headphones, as it made my movie experience more personal. What a fun outing! Tickets for June screenings are sold out, but definitely see if you can check out the ones in July by visiting www.nyc.rooftopfilmclub.com.
