Diner en Blanc NYC brought incredible energy to the city last Friday! Guests found out only hours before the event that the location would be Robert Wagner Park in Battery Park. What an incredible venue for the wonderful celebration! Over 4000 guests dressed in beautiful white ensembles and brought creative white decorations to the event. This year had a theme called Blooming Elegance and everyone definitely showcased their floral game! Watching everyone wave their napkins to begin the event was magical!
We were all greeted with acrobats in jumbo champagne glasses and music by Grammy-nominated Columbian American singer, Alemor. Other entertainment included music by Triad Bass, an innovative New Orleans-style band, and beats by DJ Lina, an electrifying talent.
In addition, world renowned Chef Daniel Boulud prepared French-inspired picnic baskets for the event. There were both meat and vegetarian options. Boulud shared that “Dîner en Blanc always brings a burst of French summer feasts to cities around the world in a celebration of friendship, fashion, and food. As a French New Yorker, I’m honored to prepare a festive picnic basket for this magical evening. It will certainly be the largest and chicest gathering of fête a la Francaise!”What a joy to have such a talented and gracious chef involved with Diner en Blanc’s culinary creations!
Moreover, Chambord was the event’s national sponsor. Guests could enjoy Chambord cocktails poured at a beautifully assembled Chambord bar. Gerard-Bertrand was the local wine sponsor and showcased its impressive white, rosé, and sparkling wines. The beverages were flowing and the evening proved to be festive!
As the evening continued, I enjoyed walking around and getting a close look at everyone’s decorations. I saw everything from white neon signs, elaborate chandeliers, innovative floral arrangements, to white feathers. Diner en Blanc brought an incredible display of white decor, festive energy, and camaraderie. Cheers to a captivating celebration!
